Under Section-8 of the Indian Seeds Act- 1966, on 5th October 1976, Uttar Pradesh. State Seed Certification Society was established and it was registered under the provisions prescribed in the Societies Registration Act 1860. The registration number of the institution is 1021/1976-1977. The organization started the work of certification of seeds in the state from the Kharif crop season of 1977.
Through this portal seed growers can register themselves and their seed processing plant with Uttar Pradesh State Seed Certification Agency (UPSSCA) and become a certified seed producer, so that the quality of seeds can be ensured across the state. The whole process will be online, once the form is submitted, documents will be verified after which the seed producer will be certified and the certificate will be given.
भारतीय बीज अधिनियम- 1966 की धारा-8 के अधीन दिनांक 5 अक्टूबर 1976 को उ.प्र. राज्य बीज प्रमाणीकरण संस्था की स्थापना की गयी तथा इसे सोसाइटीज रजिस्ट्रेशन एक्ट 1860 में विहित प्राविधानों के अन्तर्गत पंजीकृत कराया गया। संस्था की पंजीयन संख्या 1021/1976-1977 है। संस्था ने प्रदेश में बीजों के प्रमाणीकरण का कार्य फसल सत्र खरीफ 1977 से प्रारम्भ किया।
इस पोर्टल के माध्यम से बीज उत्पादक स्वयं को और अपने बीज विधायन संयंत्र को >उत्तर प्रदेश राज्य बीज प्रमाणीकरण संस्था के साथ पंजीकृत कर सकते हैं और प्रमाणित बीज उत्पादक बन सकते हैं, ताकि पूरे प्रदेश में बीज की गुणवत्ता सुनिश्चित की जा सके। पूरी प्रक्रिया ऑनलाइन होगी, एक बार फॉर्म जमा करने के बाद दस्तावेजों का सत्यापन किया जाएगा जिसके पश्चात ही बीज उत्पादक को प्रमाणित किया जाएगा तथा प्रमाण पत्र प्रदान किया जाएगा।
The seed certification system is designed to prevent the passage of substandard seed material into the distribution channel, so each Seed Grower in the State is required to register here.
Certified seed is the starting point to a successful crop, which requires the quality monitoring at various stages, and certification of each seed processing Plant.
